Sub-processors

To run GROOVS we rely on a small number of companies who process personal data on our behalf and on our instructions. They are listed here in full. Each is bound by a data processing agreement, may use the data only for the purpose named, and may not use it for their own purposes.

This page is referenced by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.

Running the Service

  • Vercel (United States) — hosting. Every request to GROOVS passes through Vercel, so it handles all data in transit and while a request is being served.
  • Supabase — our database and file storage. Holds your account record, practice history, preferences, unlocks, jam sessions and email history.
  • Clerk — accounts and sign-in. Holds your name, email address and credentials. We never see your password.

Email

  • Resend — sends our email. Receives your name, address and the content of the message, and reports back whether it was delivered, whether it bounced, and whether you clicked a link. Not opens — see the Privacy Policy.
  • Anthropic and OpenAI, reached through Vercel AI Gateway — used to summarize and help draft replies to email you send us. Only the correspondence itself is sent, and it is not used to train their models.
  • Slack — where replies you send us are routed so a human sees them. Receives the sender and the message content.

Understanding how the Service is used

These run only if you grant analytics consent on the cookie banner, and never for advertising or cross-site tracking. See the Cookie Policy.

  • PostHog (EU-hosted) — product analytics: which features are used and where people get stuck.
  • Google Analytics 4 — website analytics: which pages are read.
  • Google Forms — surveys, where you choose to answer one. Receives the responses you submit.

Changes to this list

We update this page when a sub-processor is added or removed. If you object to a new sub-processor, write to team@sonictemplestudios.com and we will tell you what your options are, including closing your account and having your data erased.
